Steven Gaultney’s LIMB FROM LIMB

In January 2021, amid the COVID-19 Pandemic, The Theatre of Others presented an adaptation of Euripides’ horrific play The Bacchae.

In a metatheatrical production with an international company of actors from across the globe questioning the validity of what we see with what we know, The Theatre of Others set the production in an imagined future of February 2026, with COVID-25 driving us into our homes for the second time this decade. Forced to postpone its production of Limb from Limb, an adaptation of Euripides' The Bacchae was reimagined for a digital space, the result being this intimate version of the ancient, still-devastating story, now told through four monologues over Zoom.
